FAQs
🛠️Are tools safe for children?
Yes! We use age-appropriate, child-safe tools and provide full instruction and supervision in every session. Workshops are run by experienced instructors with a focus on safety, skill-building, and confidence. Children are always guided step-by-step to ensure a safe and positive experience.
👨👩👧Can siblings attend the same workshop?
Siblings are welcome to attend together if they fall within the designated age bracket for that workshop. If they are outside the listed age range, we kindly ask that you book them into a session suited to their age and abilities to ensure they get the best experience possible.
🎒What should children bring?
All tools, materials, and safety equipment are provided! We simply ask that children wear closed-in shoes and clothes suitable for creative, hands-on activities.
🚪Can I drop and go?
Yes, parents are welcome to drop children off for their session. Please ensure that:
-
All contact details are completed during registration, and
-
You inform an instructor at check-in if you plan to leave the studio during the workshop.
🪑Can I stay for the workshop too?
Absolutely! Parents are welcome to stay and relax in our designated seating area while their children create. If you’d like to participate alongside your child, simply book an additional place and note “Parent Maker” during registration. This is a great option if your child would benefit from a little extra support—or if you’d love to make something too!

Our Maker's Philosophy
Where creativity, craftsmanship, and connection meet.
At Australis Wood Studio, we believe in learning by doing — and doing it together.
Our workshops are more than just projects; they’re experiences that slow the pace, encourage curiosity, and reconnect people with the joy of making by hand.
From the first pencil mark to the final polish, every step invites reflection, problem-solving, and teamwork.
It’s not about perfection — it’s about participation, presence, and pride in what you’ve created.
Each hammer tap, brush stroke, and moment of laughter builds something lasting — not just a finished piece, but a shared story of craftsmanship and community.
